Riverboat Ron is a boob, the fanbase can admit that. But the highest paid QB shouldn't need a whisperer, he just needs to spread the ball around and win.

It's all fun and games now, but if he's just mediocre through 4 or 5 games I think the criticism will be very real. Not that Deshaun was much better, there was $100M annual salary between those two QB's. Danny Dimes contract looking ugly right about now as well.

Watson probably wasn't properly massaged before the game. Rumor is he has ymto be loose to play well.

Anyone watching D. Jones from the Giants? 40 mil a year for that?

Giants fans will blame the O-line. But exactly why they shouldn't pay a QB 40mil a year until they can protect him.

I find it odd that fans and/or sports pundits care more about an athletes salary instead of winning games/championships. Different times I guess. Also....whodey!

Better than week 1, 222yds 2-1. 0-2 but should win the next 3?

As for Sam Howell 299yds 2-0. For $1M.

Take a look at the Jets and Rogers, big salaries, big expectations and a 4 play season

At least Burrows, Rodgers and a couple of others with big salaries have been to or won a Super Bowl, some conference title games and some playoff wins. Most contracts are paying them for what they did. Guys like Herbert(who I think is an amazing QB), Allen, Dak, Cousins, Carr, and Jackson haven't sniffed a Super Bowl.

I think the Herbert contract is OK given he's the type of QB that can probably make chicken salad out of chicken sh7t. They'll probably lose Ekeler and K Allen next year, and maybe M Williams the following year but they drafted a bunch of WRs the past few years and have Josh Kelley.

The albatrosses are Russ Wilson, Kyler Murray and D Watson. I would put the D. Jones contract up there but not quite a total disaster, and the Burrows contract as one that is definitely a win-now type deal. In 3-4 years the Bengals are going to be in either cap-hell or be mediocre enough to not effectively reload through the draft. My Redskins are all too familiar with garbage contracts so hopefully with Danny boy gone we can finally build a championship team.

Yep, lot of football yet to be played. This week 2 hysteria is funny stuff.

Is the week 4 hysteria still too soon? JB is #34 out of 36 qualifying QB's in rating, behind future hall of famers Zach Wilson, Desmond Ridder and Ryan Tannehill.

$55M/year for 1-3 and 2 touchdowns? If it's a nagging injury is it really doing any good keeping him in there, or do you get his body 100% and then hope for a mid-season run?

Yes they should be resting him until he is is 100%. Especially if they going to lose anyway.

He sucks. Nobody should look that bad with the offense he has around him. Just completely incapable of accomplishing a successful football play currently. Until he improves, you have to start assuming that this is just what he is.

so we should just ignore what he did the last 3 years and say this is what he is a few games into the season? He is clearly hurt and it's effecting his play

Yep. Currently one of the worst QBs in the game. Maybe that changes, maybe it doesn't.

If this was true, how do you explain the last 2 seasons. It is clear the calf is worse then they are letting on, it isn't just affecting his mobility, it is affecting his passing. He has absolutely no "zip" to his passes. I mean look at the past 2 seasons, he was one of the most, if not the most accurate passers in the game. Now that they are 1-3 their best bet is to sit him for an extended period of time, and let AJ McCarron get the start. Perhaps they can get something going with him, he can get the team into the playoffs with hopes that Burrow is 100% by then.

Then why do our tax dollars build stadiums for these owners/teams ? And I don't wanna hear about the jobs they allegedly create.
