I think the ones with the blade mounted on the head have the best action![]()
BTW, looks really good![]()
do you find that you need to bend the metal tip up just a bit to get it to not spiral in the water?
I have had to bend the top of the blade up slightly to get some of roll out of a couple .
I have found they work best if you lay you'r finger and roll the blade up on it it create a slight roll to the blade and works well
my blades are stainless steel so I have to bend them with a pliers..
FYI if you use pliers, I found covering the ends with bandaids ensures the metal wont get scratched.. works well.
Thanks - I do not get any roll out of mine at all. Not sure if my blades maybe a little smaller than original. But I get good vibration.
Nice looking bait Dr Stratos!!![]()
Im trying to get supplies to make a few myself.. So far, Ive got the blades and everything else, but now I cant find the shakee jig heads with an open eye, so you can attach the blade directly to it.. (I like that style better than the split ring connection) I have some on backorder from Barlow's, but it's been 2 weeks and they're still backordered..![]()
Any ideas where to find that style jig head?![]()
Not sure that the direct method is the way to go I have had alot of email about the chatterbaits breaking off at the head? Go figure any comments on this.

Ive not had any probs with the "original" chatterbaits.. Dont have any experience with the home-builts that connect direct though.. Will let ya know if I ever get some together!![]()
I can't find the blades. Can anyone tell me where I can find them?
