200 EFI all new parts, still no oil to engine reservoir

Hey guy's I was wondering if someone could help me with this. With the engine running, I get no oil to the new engine mounted reservoir, I also installed a new check valve at engine block. If I remove the line going to the engine check valve and preasurize that line, it will push oil to the engine reservoir but I can hear the air bleading off at the boat mounted tank. Both caps o rings were cleaned and reinstalled tight. Shouldn't it preasruize and hold that preasure? just like a hand held sprayer? I look at it as the same type of system. Any help is very much appreciated!

    system operates @ 3 psi.
    don't overpressurize it when testing.
clean the oil pick up screen, be sure your using the correct oil, ck that you didn't reverse hoses at the cap.
and of course fix the leaks.

Yeah, I haven't changed any hoses. I guess I will start by pulling the in boat tank, preasureize it with caps on and hose lines plugged in soapy water and see if I can find the air leak. Thank you very much for your help guy's!

Most likely the O-rings that seal the caps have hardened and shrank, replace both of them. Make sure the lines are on tight, try rotating them, and install new radius head zip ties, use pliers to pull them real tight before cutting off the excess.

You didn’t install the check valve backwards? Test line from check valve by disconnecting at tank and make sure air pressure is coming from the line from the engine block. Oil tank on bait can develop small cracks also, especially in the neck. The pressure will slowly leak down when motor is off, but it’s a slow process and you should have pressure on tank for a little while. If you hear air leaking then that’s most like your problem.

Check valve is threaded on block side, so probably installed correctly.

Don't "assume" a new check valve is good, however. I've seen several bad ones recently right from the bag. Check and verify.

Gearcase (hand-pump type) pressure tester, or bicycle pump can be used to apply about 6 psi to the remote tank. Soapy water or "kiddie bubble mix" (the later works REAL good) can be used to identify the air leak source.
