I didn't know they ever stopped sellin Glx i've been buying them right along. The last order i bought was in mid Nov. ??

There are quite a few Shikari blanks that I like to use...............As far as the SHX line goes I built a spinning rod for myself last year and had it snap in two on a hookset with 8lb mono. I was told that they were having a breakage issue with the line and would be working on correcting the problem. I have a PMB 704 in my shop now that I will build for myself and give it a go.
As far as the GLX's go I have never built on one for the simple reason that most customers just dont want to spend the $$ it would cost on a custom GLX...........

Shikari are nice blanks. Light, crisp actions in that model. Pretty true to their catalog ratings. The only problem is there have been breakages, the cool thing is the factory knows. The new owners just took over about 6-8 months ago, so I might look towards another manuf. if reliability is a huge concern. I myself have had no problems, and since they are a small company my customers know nothing about them and so all my Shikari rods are fro myself. When the owners aren't fishing you can speak to them directly! That's awesome! Later, bryan.
