Is this more for sound, color, or to prevent weeds on your knot?
Do you put a bobber stop ahead of the bead to prevent it from going too far up your
line?
Never tried this, and can't find very much written about it.

I use a bead with the Ribbit frog. Seems to help deflect weeds from the hook eye. Yes, I use a bobber stop.
