You could not give me a Garmin. Way to slow on scroll speed. Lowrance hands down

With all due respect Captain, but have you seen the NEW Garmins? Garmin spent a lot of time, effort, and capital in '11 to upgrade their fish finders (I'm not talking about their fish finder/charplotter combos, just the Echo series fish finders). The new 200 and 300 series are light years of just a year ago. The Echo 300c is every bit as capable as any comparable Lowrance unit. You can pick one up right now at West Marine (and other places I'm sure) for $199. Plus, Garmin's customer service is much better than Lowrance at this point in time.
So my nod goes to the Garmin unit, as long as it's the new Echo Series.
