I think the only one that scared me was when he hit that double up in the chop and took a pretty significant bump so much it moved both of them in their seats.
that last pass was also way too frigging close but it sounds like he was screwing around with his buddy, I’m assuming they were looking at each other as it went down.

My old tournament partner bought an Allison when we were fishing media bass. I had a 203 Champion at the time. Our next tournament that was coming up was on the red river out of grand encore. He talked me into taking his new boat. We were boat 28 that morning. When he pulled out the motorcycle helmets I knew I was in for a ride. We passed all 27 other boats headed down river. At one point when passing a boat, I could have reached over with my head and touched the water we were rocking so much. Whenever we finally stopped. I told him I would never ever get back in that boat with him. Scared the living hell out of me.
My best friend never has any rods on deck at blastoff in a tournament. Takes him all of a few seconds to get the ones he's starting with out and start fishing. He's also taken quite a few people's money over the years. He has secrets he prefers to keep but from the sound of it the guys passing everyone in the video could have shown people what NOT to throw by having his rods out and ready.

There used to be a guy with a Tracker 175 with a 50hp on it that would get in the front of the pack on shotgun starts at my home lake. He just about got run over every time. What did he expect was gonna happen with most if not all the other boats having 3 numbers on the cowling?

Also at the 2:22 mark he passed something very close.
Been there done that in my younger days. Not so much anymore.

Guy’s extremely dangerous, the people he passed less than a boats length away were not deserving of his lack of safety. Who cares, boats fast- doesnt make it safer. He doesnt leave rods out, because he probably knew he was a second away from hooking the bow so many times being tossed around in those wakes- dont want to loose his rods LOL.
