Yeah sometimes you look like a duck blind going down the road. Hate eelgrass.

Pretty common sight. I thought every lake was like that certain times of year.

You get use to it eventually. Tonight I was lucky, The ramp was loaded when I dumped in so when I parked I looked like a duck blind but when I trailered on it was clear so I was set.

Launched at city park a few weeks ago while still dark. Didn't see that ell grass had washed up on the ramp so when I tried to pull out I just spun the wheels until I put it in FWD.

What a Beautiful sight, down here in Florida the FWC and DNR would be quivering with lust to SPRAY it in to oblivion. Be thankful for that EEL Grass would love to have it down here in North Florida (St. Johns River/Rodman Reservoir).
    Thanks for the "Cover Porn"

Kissimmee chain could use some of that.

Parts of Ontario can look like that as well this time of year. It’s a good way to get stopped at the border and made to crawl under trailer to clean it off.

Yeah but eel grass is a poor substitute for the Hydrilla and Milfoil beds we used to have and we certainly didn’t have the floating grass issues like we have now

We don’t have a blade of grass anymore. Sad. The fishing has suffered so much since it’s been gone.

I agree that certain grasses are good but some are no help at all. A local watershed was covered with what I called Snot Grass. I positive that is the correct name for it of course. Carp and some chemicals took care of it but it took 3 years to get rid of it. Now the lake has a natural Pepper Grass all around it. It has rebounded in a big way. I have caught 10 fish over 7 pounds out of it and returned each one. The average fish is 4 pounds or so. The grass has baby Gizzard Shad all in it.

Same thing at St Clair in the back bay ramps. Not sure about there but in Michigan it is illegal to drive out with weeds like that on the trailer. The DNR doesn't want the weeds or critters on them spreading.

Losing battle and damn near impossible to avoid. Even removing the grass you see there will still be some trapped between the hull and the bunks and also smaller pieces you don't see.
