    What knot to use

What knot do you use to tie Flo. leader to Braid maine line on a drop shot rig ? Was looking at the surgeons knot, is it any good ? think it would be easy for me to tie.

Blood Knot works well. If you need help with that knot use the knot thread that is a few posts above this one.

I've been using the albright knot for the last year. Very small and compact, goes through the guides easily. After some practice, very easy to due quickly.

Here's a vid of Aaron Martens tying it for the same application.

THe Albright and Modified Albright (Alberto) are the best I've seen..You may try a small barrel swive, to help with the twist, which is what I do...

Modified Albright. I tried all of em...did pull tests on all of em....and this knot was the strongest for me. I never broke the knot or had it slip. Easy to tie and goes thru the eyelets easy.

This is true and some "experts" will tell you that its near 100% break strength is due to the fact that is is basically wraps with a whip-finish, so it is not even considered a knot and will not cut itself...try it and you decide. It is VERY good.
