    Thumbs down Bull Shoals

Holy crap that place was tough this weekend. Fished Saturday and today, and did good to catch 5 keepers in two days.

Low. There were lots of places I had planned to try from doing map and google earth study that were 3’ out of the water when I got there

Just wondered as several fellas here have commented about Quachita being real low. I put in at Degray Saturday and it’s as low as I’ve ever seen it. Great time to mark structure to fish later at normal pool.

Sinking brush is the easiest it's ever been now that they make battery powered chainsaws worth havingDays are gone of fighting with a bow saw.

This is a tough time of year for catching on any of the White River chain of lakes. Great weather and scenery, but tough fishing.

I fish Norfork every week sometime twice a week and the last 3 weeks have been tough. But I went Tuesday and did great…2 Stripers, 6 Walleye with 3 over 18inch, 14 Bass…Large, Small, Black, and Spotted, 3 large Bluegill, 1 Crappie. This was from 6am till noon. The lake has turned over early this year and the level is right where it should be. I’m going to go back this Friday after the 2 days of rain and cooler temps to see if it’s still good.

Trout fishing on the Little Red sucks right now for me but maybe the fly fisherman are doing good. The cooler weather will get the Browns to move more and start staging so it should get better soon.

We need to get together soon and fish the Little Red. I need to see if I can still spank em good out there.

Hopefully the Browns will be staging soon. Let me know when you come out this way.

I'd love to get on a brown or two. I've even lost enough weight to fit into some nice waders I've only been able to wear twice.

I’m retired and looking for a tournament level partner near the town of Bull Shoals. I have excellent boat, so if you’re a good stick with a thin wallet and are interested please contact me.
