Never heard a bad word about the man personally and loved him as a baseball player. Great team player and had to be a managers dream pitcher. When he was on he was nearly unhittable and when he wasn't he would stay out and just grind and eat up innings and give the bullpen a break. He would do what he was asked to do, be a starter be short relief, long relief, fill whatever hole the manager needed on the pitching staff. I believe he was an integral part of the red soxs world series years by allowing the pitching staff to not be overworked and ready for the postseason.
