    Prop

    Currently
25 fury 3 5700 rpm good hole shot, good lift after 45 mph(worked by Ronnie Gilbert
24 fury 3 5600 rpm good hole shot (not as good as the 25, this one puzzles me in more than 1 aspect) good lift
25 trophy plus have not opened this one up yet, but ok hole shot and lifts the hull alot earlier than the fury, mid range is great with this prop!

Thought I'd try a bravo. Not sure of which bravo to try? Xs, or Fs or whatever. What pitch to try( been told 26)on the xs
All the props I have tried have been worked by Ronnie). So far the 25 fury 3 has impressed me the most in every aspect except the midrange(this goes to the trophy plus).
This leads to the big question of the bravo's. What pitch and which bravo? Boat is in my signature. Speed(top end) is a plus but midrange and rough water. Is a must

a 25p or 26p bravo1 fs will work but will never reach same speed as a 3 blade but better everywhere else.

What is your speed at those RPMs?

    25 fury 3 5700 rpms 71 to 72 mph
    24 fury 3 5600 to 5650 70ish mph
Both these props have great slip numbers per the calculator
The 25 performs great except mid range lift(boat don't lift much until 55ish)
The 24 fury 3 which puzzles me about the Rpms does lift a little sooner but only slightly.
The Trophy is a great prop(I had one on my 88 model Caracal)it lifts well at lower Rpms and
lower speed. Due to the water conditions. I have just not been able to open it up. But im guessing between 68 and 70 mph.
My motor being a 2 stroke I know the limiter should be set to 5750 rpm.
Hence the question about a Bravo xs/fs and pitch. As I stated I had been told a 26 pitch in the Bravo xs would be correct. At the prices of props these days I was looking for real world experiences. Speed is good to have the once a day I actually use it but performance across the board is more important these days.
I understand the bravo will be some slower but compared to a trophy will the performances be close?

I've run quite a few 26 Bravo 1XS props. the rpms have always been about exactly the same as a 24 Fury 3. I have one that's been run once, if you're looking for one, it's too stiff to work on my 4 stroke, I run a 22 and 23 Fury 3 up here.

I run a Bravo 1 FS 24 on my P2 and love it. Considering your 2 stroke, I would start with a 26 then have it worked from there.

I have never maxed it out. When my boat gets to 68, I lack the courage and ability to go more.

Thanks for all the information and replies. Just heads up, my concern is overall performance! The 25 fury3(mine) is a great prop(actually different) from most)but I (my own opinion)as far as overall performance is not best for the p2 hull. Speed (on my hull(YES).BUT..... overall no! I handle chine just fine, but us average, everyday users that wants performance is the bravo xs/fs the answer? I figure BCB knows this answer (considering they have run "the best of the best"!)

I have been through a lot of props since the early 90s. Maybe it's just the rocket ship that a P2 is, but I have never experienced the combination of performance features of the Bravo. Only thing close for me was a Razor XL. The mid range of this boat with this prop, compared to the Fury I had, is just amazing. Since I cannot safely(in my risk averse mind) go max speed in this boat anyway, those last few MPH are irrelevant to me. I cannot imagine you being displeased with the right pitch Bravo.

Different Hull, and I'm running a 2 stroke but I really like my Bravo now that I've spent some time adjusting for the best performance with it. Great midrange and overall lift with wonderful handling. Very secure. Speed wise, I'm running 77 completely loaded on a regular basis on my EYRA which is on par with my 24/25 fury's. A couple MPH slower than a 26 Fury though. When i want to run 80 I slap my 26" Fury on and wait for a cool morning. LOL!

I think the Bravo is a very good balance of overall performance without losing too much on the top end. I can't imagine it would be bad on a P-II

Thanks again im taking all the feedback!I was leaning toward the bravo when I ran across my trophy at a deal that I just could not pass on. I'm thinking the 26 Bravo XS will be money. Just a little hesitant on the pitch. I kno if it's not Ronnie can tweak it. As stated my worked 25 fury will be hard to beat for speed. Just seems these days it's more about a balance of speed and performance rather than speed.
Chris I kno your a speed guy. Did you raise your motor a bit for the Bravo?
Pmantle I kno your a midrange person, does your P2 lift pretty quick rather than 55 plus?

So, my previous boat was a Margay. The delayed lift was something I hated and had to work through. That's why I ended up with a Razor XL after talking to Mark. With the P2, lift is immediate. There is no change as you speed up, other than maybe a tiny bit of bow rise. Nothing like the dramatic change of a Margay.

I handle the " chine" with ease! I can push the 25 fury 3 with all the boat has! But..... I find my self not using it more and more. The Trophy is a good balance between performance and speed. I was more curious if the bravo performed more than the trophy. Thr trophy lift early as well
