Battery voltage?
2002 OX66 225 when motor is running voltage gauge only goes up to 12.5 maybe 13 volts. Last time out it would be 13.5 - 14 while running. Battery new this spring is a group 31 Duracell AGM. Is this alternator; voltage regulator; or maybe gauge problem? Thanks in advance!

Could be any one (or more) of several things. Components, connections, wiring, etc. Trouble shooting will tell for sure.
Measure the voltage directly at the battery before starting the motor. Fully charged it should be ~ 12.6/7 volts.
With the motor running at idle, measure the voltage on the motor at the point where the voltage regulator provides power to the 80 amp fuse. Should be 13.5 ~ 14.5 volts. What difference do you see?
On a 21 year old motor it would not surprise me if just some simple connections are causing the problem. The mere act of disconnecting and reconnecting the connectors can help to cure a voltage drop issue.
Two fuses are involved with supplying electrical power to the volt meter. One on the motor and one behind the dash. Presumption being that Yamaha wiring is be used. Those fuse connections, as well as the main harness ten pin connector could also be the issue. Or part of it.
Can you read a wiring diagram?

I have a friend that is a lot better than I am. Where could I get the diagram from; google it? Thanks

This is for the motor side stuff only. I have no idea what you have in the boat with respect to instrumentation.
