REPLACEMENT TRAILER BUNKS

Marine Master says they can only ship the short bunks not the long 102"limit . Is there a
manufacturer of carpeted replacement bunks for phoenix trailers. remember they edge of the bunks are beveled so not just any will do.

T-BIRD, I had them ship new bunks for my 819 to a local dealer with a new boat. When they came in I went and picked them up. They were through the carpet after 18 months.

What about making your own?? The inside edge is rounded. For some reason i'm thinking its 3/4" round. Drew made his to add lights to them and made the comment on what size the edge was....

usually shipping the 10.5ft bunks on a freight truck will cost more than buying the bit and rounding or havening anyone with a router to it for you, it takes 10 minutes to run a 3/4" round over bit down all the bunks to make new ones, Gatorbak offers pre installed bunks ready to install but shipping will be costly

if you want carpet have them sent to a dealer they will ship them when delivering boats


I have 2 or 3 new sets behind the shop and cut up many more to make pallets, my fiends and I swap to gatorbaks soon as we get a new boat

Is it possible to take the carpet off the bunks on a new bird withour major issues? I have new bird on order and don't want to mess with rounding edges on wood at my home in Florida.

davidsa, Phoenix offers a Gatorbak upgrade on their trailers. If that is what you want and you just ordered your boat, you could contact your dealer.

thank you, my dealer told me that option did not exist :( or implied it. My boat is being delivered in a few weeks so likely I have missed my opportunity.

you can but its a lot of trouble if doing it in a parking lot

you can get them pre installed, if you dealer can it set it up with Phoenix we can have a set pre assembled dropped off at marine master for you

I emailed dealer yesterday BUT my boat is to be delivered in 2 weeks so I have likely missed out.

at my fishing winter home in florida, I can put my boat out on the small lake in my community and work on my trailer under my carport. if it is just a matter of cutting the carpet off with a box cutter then removing the staples on the bottom, I think I can do that. if the carpet is glued to the boards and stapled then that makes matters more difficult.
