Can’t comment on the 2013, but I had a 2015 as a rental car while my Civic was in the shop.

I enjoyed the headroom. Good visibility. Very economic on fuel. I’d change the stereo to include features such as time alignment and better speakers, and would invest in some sound deadening material along with elbow grease. Like every other econobox, they are not quiet. The sound deadening can help with that, no doubt. The improved stereo is really just about creature comfort, because I had a 75+ minute commute each way for two decades, and time alignment, a fuller mid-range, and even just a little bass (don’t have to rattle the glass or body panels) made the wind-up and the wind-down along the commute better.

I would absolutely consider a new one in the future if they’d produce a “sport” version with a great deal more power, perhaps including an AWD drivetrain.

One of the most comfortable cars in its class. I worked for Enterprise and I'd take the Soul over any of the jap cars. A tractor trailer driver came in for a rental and the only car we had was a Soul. He took it and when he came back on Monday he said that car was surprisingly comfortable and good to drive.

I agree, hence me saying one of the ugliest.....we can also add the Honda element. Just my opinion of course.

WTH that's NOT good. I don't know weather to tell her or not because she was so happy she got the new software.

    For the win!!!

Good friends of ours had a Kia Soul for many many years. Put over 250K miles on it. They retired it when they found a deal on newer SUV. To this day, they regret selling it. Here's what they would brag about:

    1) Space, legroom, cargo, etc.
    2) Gas mileage
    3) Low maintenance costs
    4) Fit the car into any space
Been fishin' since I was 5 years old...Thanks Grandpa!
