    Carolina rig knot???

What knot do you use for your main line to your swivel? I used a clinch knot but it broke at the swivel about mid way through the day. Help please.

look up the knot Shaw Grigsby uses. It works awesome for all lines.

I always use a Palomar. Your weight isn't beating up your knot, is it?

No weight beating the knot. I had weight, two beads, knot, swivel, leader then hook. It was bad, I cast and heard a pop, then line was weightless. I knew right away that it broke then I heard the weight hit some guys tin roof. FML They were outside to add to the frustration.

yeah it does. They didn't say anything, not sure if they heard it or not. This is not the first time this kind of thing has happened to me either. I had a drop shot weight come off at a pond I was fishing at one day and it hit the roof of some guys truck. Just my luck I guess.

    LOL Gotta love it!

Had the wind grab my crankbait one time and get snarled in a basketball hoop net hanging on a dock one time. And the owner was on the other side of the dock catching crappie.

    Yeah, he wasn't happy.

I donno about breaking that off though. Seems like my C-rig nots get beat up pretty quick, even with beads. I retie it alot. Add to that how much i hate dragging a rig in the first place, you'll understand why i don't do it often.

Can also try a bobber stop/weight peg or 2 b/t your knot and bead, for cushion. The bead will wear on the knot, just like a weight if The hole in the bead is a little.
