BASS just needs to get their editors to digitally add a couple orange booby markers out in front of the live fishermen. It'll be just like old times for the old viewers.

It’s awesome that Kyle Patrick won. He’s somewhat local to me (He’s from Cooperstown, 30min away) and a fantastic angler so it’ll be cool once the classic comes around since Hartman hasn’t been to the classic in a while.

JT Thompkins, John Garrett and Trey McKinney are all but qualified for the elites.

They update it daily now according to Ronnie since the elites are done and the race matters to the guys obviously.

I hope he and Bobby Lane make it, but they need both to do very well and have others stumble to make it in. If they do well and so does the top 10, they are hurting. Gonna be a super interesting last tournament. I’ve never watched the opens standings this close and it’s been pretty cool to see how it’s evolved over the season

I think the top 3 are pretty well locks. Kimura is already in the Elites. 6 spots up for grabs. It's in Florida. Lane is gonna be a big threat though. I'm gonna be more surprised if Lane misses out than if ge gets in myself.

Diasuke Kita is said to have fished approximately 200 spots today (BASS website). I find the math of 200 spots in an 8 hour day non-supportive of this claim. Fishermen exaggerating? I think so.

Was awesome to see Kyle Patrick win that.

Not sure how good that he’ll have to do on the Harris Chain for the final EQ event to punch his ticket into the Elites?

Should be tough down there on the chain in October. Will be fun to watch though.

I agree. Not counting time moving spot to spot that would have given him 2 minutes andc24 seconds per spot. Throw in time moving, picking up/putting down rods, changing setups, relying, unhooking fish, culling etc I don't see it happening.

Haven't done the math but I'd guess a top 20 will solidify his spot.

Maybe they mean waypoints in an area? I could see hitting 200 boulders marked in flats or something like that, but certainly not what we consider “spots”

It’s gonna be super tight for the elite cut. I feel like 9 tourneys is gonna make the elites a much more competitive field over time. Just because it’s such a diverse schedule to make it in now. No more regional success to get you into the elite series. But gosh dang is it more expensive to qualify than it has ever been as well. I guess that goes with the territory tho
