    2021 ZXR20 SHO 250

I have not owned a mass produced bass boat since 1993. Been running Gamblers/Sterling. This makes me ignorant as I run 81 in a 22 plus foot boat and eat sandwiches at 72. Im keeping my Sterling but I am considering buying a used 2021 ZXR20 to run for a year in tournaments to see how it goes. Ran this boat yesterday. Unfortunately it was not propped correctly and was FULL of equipment. Ride was great but is a DOG. With a reasonable load and the correct prop what are yall getting out of this model? What's the best prop?

75 is what I've seen by myself in the winter time. Tourney loaded with a coangler it's around 70.

Best prop I've found is a 26 Bravo XS. It's a touch slower than the T2, but handles much better.

Not really sure, but check on the Boats4Sale forum on here and try to get an idea what they're selling for.

From what I've heard the Furys generally don't run very well on the Skeeters, especially with the R hulls because the motor needs to be run really high to get the best performance and Furys don't like to be run high, the diameter of the prop is too small. I've got a hydraulic plate and mine runs best on setting 16 or so. Not sure what the prop to pad measurement would be for that, but probably somewhere in the 1.5" range.

69-74 with a 25p T2 depending conditions. I put a 26p bravo xs on this past weekend and ran 71 at 5600 loaded heavy with full fuel/tackle/wells and co. Need to raise the motor a bit but expect it to be 71-75mph boat. That’s about all you’ll get out of zxr/fxr20 or 21 unless flashed.

Skeeters will not run very good with the fury prop. It needs a T2 Yamaha prop or we have have seen good results with a tempest prop.

The boat should be for sale in the low to mid $50s.

I came from a blazer to a 23 zxr 20 that I bought this year and I think realistically you will see 65-68 with two people and fishing gear during the summer.

Summer temps will definitely drop the speed, but I haven't seen less than 68 in my ZXR fully loaded even in hot weather. Gotta run the jackplate up HIGH

If yours is mounted like mine, 9 on the gauge is 2" prop to pad. Each number is 1/4 inch.

I run a 25 fury 3 on mine... Worked by Ronnie Gilbert. I run mine at 3 on the gauge and can get 72. It likes to be ran lower. The smaller size doesn't lift the rear like it should.. I'm actually getting a tempest worked by Ronnie right now (larger prop and lifts better, rides better than the sho T2). I expect it to be great... I've heard from several others that they work well on these boats. I didn't care for the sho T2 that came on mine. It rode bouncy and rough... Fell on it's face above 65 ish.

How high? What is your jack plate set on?

I’ve got a hydraulic plate so I’m not sure what hole it would be on a standard jackplate, but I get the best performance around 16 on my atlas gauge.
