What is it? New 2023 Cougar question

In one of the center boxes sidewall on the front deck, there is a round twist out black container cap with a spring inside of it. Maybe one of you guys could give me an idea what in the world this is.I just bought this Cougar today and I’m learning. By the way, Rick Pierce at Bass Cat is an awesome dude! This company is amazing already. Got rid of a new Ranger 520 With 14 hrs that was coming apart internally with the bulkhead coming through the side of the boat. I had the boat at the Falcon Boats factory getting a Keel guard installed when the guys at Falcon noticed it.
White river marine group, drug their feet and after 8 weeks I traded it. I’ve always wanted a Bass Cat so here we are.

The round twist out small compartment is to the owner to store insurance and ownership papers

Yes, that capsule is for your insurance and registration paperwork. Glad you are pleased with your new rig and take time learning all the functions and how to let it rip, after some seat time.

Congrats on your new Cougar. I have a 2023 Caracal and love it. It’s my second BassCat. The cougar is an awesome riding boat. We had one as our dealer demo. It is a rocket and handles the rough stuff very well. Sad to hear about your issues with the Ranger.
