    Transducer LVS34 getting hot

Had an issue with losing livescope sonar after fishing a spot then moving locations. Short one mile move or 5 mile move didn't matter. Nothing on menu and livescope disconnected on screen.

Was told by local installer that before moving to use sonar paused. I did yesterday and when I arrived at new spot I resumed sonar and it works fine.

Will turning transmit off do same thing?

Is this an issue I need to accept or is this a defect covered by warranty?

    Anyone else have this problem?

It is designed to cut transducer off when it gets to a certain temp. Has happened to me before as well as others on here.....

Failed to mention that messages saying livescope is disconnected and something about the network. Garmin CS, best I know of, is sending a network cable.

I an happy that Garmin offers such good customer service.

There is nothing wrong with being extra cautious with the LVS34 and not transmitting when out of the water. However, our engineers indicate that the cut-off temperature is set to where no damage is done when that temperature is reached.

Spoke with Garmin Customer Service and the guy felt like it might be a network cable causing the messages. Livescope disconnected is the main message,
Was told to transmit off before making a run. Simple and so far it works. Will see if cable fixes anything. But using transmit off is no big deal.

I'm a Garmin fan and customer service is wonderful.
