Ron Meadow's improved lift kit for Ultrex

If you're thinking about it, go ahead. It's fantastic. And easy to install. Go slow, trust the template and drill some holes in your Ultrex.

For me, it had become a safety problem. The stock cable on my loaded-up Ultrex broke while lifting and I landed flat on my back, knocked myself unconscious. I knew if I didn't do something it was only a matter of time until it happened again - and the outcome might be much worse. An older gentlelady told me that it was a really bad thing for old people to fall, so I ordered one.

I had become reluctant to change spots because I didn't want to lift my TM. Now I can lift it easily with my left hand (I'm right handed).

Thanks Ron. It's remarkable how much that small change has increased my enjoyment.

I'm so glad to hear this, not that you fell , but that the lift assist works well for you. That was my whole intention in offering this upgrade as I know I wouldn't want to attempt to fish all day without mine. My orders have trickled down to the point that its starting to not make sense to offer the kit anymore. I cannot hold the price with only seeing a couple of requests per month.

I’m interested! Can you share where to order a kit from?

Ron, do you have any kits left? If so what's the price? I REALLY need a lift assist. Thx,

Sorry, didn't notice your kits are for the Ultrex. Mine's a Maxxum. My bad.

If you are a DIY guy, this is an inexpensive lift assist for the MAXXUM.

I also need one. Finally going to install 360 so it’s time. Can I still order one?

I had Ron’s lift assist on my previous boat with Target lock and Mega 360. It made a huge difference.

Installed this Spring. My thoughts. It works, reasonable installation (take your time), robust, well designed and thought out, quality components, more money than I would have preferred to spend but worth it.

    Hello Sir,

Are you still making the lift assist kits for the ultrex? If so, can you send me a picture or tell me about it and let me know how much it costs please! Everyone raves about it! Thank you.
