G4N Simulator Mode

I've gotten several different answers on this question. Does the Helix G4N models save all settings when you plug it into a power source at home without a transducer connected and use simulator mode. I want to reset my unit and start again but do it before i get on the lake. I realize that some settings will need to be tweaked after I'm on the lake but wanted to save the majority from when I'm home. Some users are saying you can't do this with the G4N models. Anybody have comments?

You can do it with any Helix unit as long as Demonstration is turned off.
Not all may be saved, but you have to turn the unit off with the power button so they will be saved.

One of the most noticeable differences will be available screen views. Example: In simulation, it does not save all screen view choices (hidden/visible). If you hide certain sensor views like Radar or 360, they will still show next time you power up in Simulation mode. They won't appear in Normal unless you actually have the sensor connected.
