    Skinny Dipper experts?

I need a little help, I have been swimming paddle tail worms for years but the stir about skinny dippers or the big ez got me curious enough to try a few. So far I'm biteless. I have rigged them on a light swimbait hook, weightless and texas rigged and they all have a "spoon" like sway when retrieved. That may just be the way they run but it does seem to me that the body should run straight and not "spoon" and the action should all be in the tail.
I have them rigged straight and see nothing to cause the sway. Do they just run this way, do I have a bad batch? Looks like I'm going back to my paddle tails.

I rig my skinny dippers with 4/0 Owner beast 1/8 oz weighted hook http://<a href="http://www.basspro.c...-W...84787</a> they run straight and let the tail work proporly but they need that keel weight to work right also try diff retrieve speeds, you can reel them too fast

I use the zoom swimming fluke a lot and it wobbles like you are talking about. I fish it weightless and just fast enough to make it wobble. It's one of the most productive baits in my box.

Thanks Jim, I started with a very similar hook using the same reasoning that the keep weight would stabilize the lure but it didn't work for me. I guess I can try again.

The Owner Beast hooks are very thick and add to the weight of the 1/8 oz lead on it and will keep them up right and swimming great!!!

What style and size hook do you use on the swimming fluke?

I prefer a 2:1 girl to guy ratio. I also am a stickler for warm water and warm air when you get out. If you go skinny dipping in a cold lake around others your self confidence may never recover. Also make sure alchohol is limited for safety purposes.

    Wait whats this topic about?

I use a 4.0 offset shank gamagatsu for the 5 inch ones and the same hook in a 2.0 for the little 3 inch ones. I have a near perfect hook up ratio when swimming it. I miss a few sometimes when I'm buzzing it on top over the weeds.
