For real, I really like them in colder water. Seem to be a cross between a regular crankbait and a shad rap. I caught some good fish on it this weekend in water with a surface temp of around 46 degrees.
They weren't very popular new but have developed a following like most discontinued baits.![]()
I use it alot in colder water from NOV-early April it is real similar to a shad rap just a taller body most guys modify the bait to give it the extra punch.
Do you know how deep the RR5 will run? Does that stand for 5 feet?
I can hit structure in 8ft of water with the #5 with 8lb line the modified ones will run 5ft deep I have over 400 of the #5s in a box at the house for backup if I ever lose any they are my favorite early spring crank even in muddy water
What modifications do people do to them? Shave them down some?

Could you explain how you modify it?
they cut the lip out, shorten it, and reinsert it. also add a rattle.
