    Must have prop baits.

Been wanting to buy one of the Kelly J prop baits. What are the must have prop baits?
    Thanks,

    Mike

Kelly J and Brians Bee are the two hottest prop baits. A devil horse is another I think is a must have.

Gilmore Jumper. Best prop bait I have ever tried. They just catch fish. All sizes. My favorite is close to the same size as the larger Devilshorse. I add split rings and upgraded trebles. They have a large one the size of a spook that works well also. out of Arkansas. check em out.

Brians Bees Prop Bee. Here's a custom one I had painted this Summer. Had to, they ate the paint off the other one....

The painter is Bill Barton Custom Lures. You can find him on Facebook at B-B Lures (search for it on Facebook). You'll see some other custom painting he did for me and some of the FLW and Elite Series guys there.

My "must have" prop bait is a clear Heddon Baby Torpedo. Just be sure to change the hooks out.

There is a bait made here local that looks like a downsized bang-a-lure. Its killer and has won some local tournaments but I didn't see any point putting it on here since the only way to buy it is ask for it at a local tackle shop.

Re: Must have prop baits. (GITBIT)

The Kelly J is ok. It is a knockoff of Brian's propbaits and not as effective to me.

Brian's is the go to. It is expensive, but if you look at what the pros are throwing post spawn, it is his whether they talk about it or not. It catches fish.

Devil's horse is also good, especially in Florida.

I thought it was funny that nobody said anything about lucky craft ripping off the Prop Bee. I don't have a problem with it people are still going to pay for the Prop Bee and its part of the game. But if it was somebody ripping off a swimbait they would get blasted on forums.

Personally I need to compare the Prop Bee and Kelly J and see for myself but the Kelly J looks great in the time I used it.

    Re: (Fntsyfbgod)

Finally got my Kelly J yesterday. I got the bluegill color. Very nice looking bait. I hope it catches fish as well as it caught me.
