Yup, first obvious change is the gas tank fillup location, blue is the 2024.

The front deck is like the 1980 as well. Its super wide up front.

Agreed it should be bumped to 150

    1880 > 150HP
    1980 > 200 HP
    2080 > 250 HP

The increase mass/width should make them slightly slower now also.

HP increase would be nice. Maybe with this new hull design they might make it an option.

I talked to a Vexus rep and asked him about this and he said they weren't changing the HP ratings. I told him I wasn't going to buy a nearly 20 foot long boat with only a 150 on it that was more than I can get a 19 foot boat with a 200 on it for. An 1980 with a 200 or an 1880 with a 150 would both be great setups. However you can get an Xpress X18 with a 150 hp on it for less than an 1880 with a 115.

I like the boat in the link above. It looks like they split the starboard side storage compartment and made half of it a cooler, I really like that.

I kind of agree with bassfisher444 if speed was a priority. It’s not for me. I bought my 1880 in October 2019 so it’s a 2020 and that was a SIGNIFICANTLY different market. I knew I was paying a premium price but it had the best deck layout for me that I could find in a tin boat without going Big O or custom. That boat linked above is about $18k more than what I paid for my 1880. No way I could justify that today as much as I love my boat. If I decide to get another boat it will be very different and I’d have to make compromises in the layout.

    A 2080 with a 200 SHO flashed to a 300hp would be a good setup.

Exactly, you can increase the HP rating yourself.

Great front deck space. Hmm, its between a 1980 or a Lowe 198 8 series Stinger.

Speaking as a guy who spent a year or so shopping for the right boat, a Xpress h19 was my 1st choice and i was ready to sign up, but then a buddy said look at a 1880 with eva flooring, after seeing the difference in fit and finish, attention to detail, hatch quality the price difference was clear and also my choice. I do agree bigger motors should be a option but my 115 merc sails along just fine.

I assume you mean X19 bc I dont see an H19 available.

Are you comparing apples to apples though? I know accessories can add up really quick. A quick look on both websites lists the 1880 w/115HP at starting at $42K and X19 w/ 175HP at $43K. There's no build setup for the X19 so hard to compare.

It's my understanding that when they replace your hull, you get the same hull design you already had, just with the thicker aluminum.... Was that what you got when they replaced yours?
