1987 super V water logged repair?

Ok work with me I'm a newbie I picked up this champion super cheap. Has great mariner 150 2 stroke and trialer.

So I started doing my demo and after removing all the carpet found a quick and bad floor job. Now after more investigation found out foam is water logged.
I haven't found anything to show me athe best way forward. Dont really want to pull the cap. Some people have said cut until you get to bottom does anyone have pics or video thst has gone through this process already.

If you haven’t already I’d post this question in the restoration forum. You have a big project ahead of you!

Do a search for my resto of my 191. It'll give you an idea of how the boat is made. I'll pulled the cap. It's the only way to find everything. The post is called " a little project I got going on"
