    Lake Augusta

    Lookin at a seasonal campsite near Sunbury. How is the fishing at lake Augusta?

    It's better than most people think. Most of the tournaments that launch out of the state park, everyone runs way up river. I'll warn you though, the boat traffic gets insane on the weekends and most weekdays after work. I usually fish it in the mornings, during the week.

    If u get a jet u will be in bass heaven. U can still catch fish with prop boat but jet is way way better. U can run up north branch for excellent Smallmouth and walleye fishing or run up the west branch for excellent Smallmouth and musky fishing. Great musky fishing up north branch also. Good amount of bass tournys out of Sunbury and a series and mid week lunker tournys. Also short drive to Williamsport where there is another tourny circuit and great fishing.
