V2020 VX21 interior lights

Once while fishing in the rain I noticed that the interior lights were on. I pressed the button to turn them off but they stayed on. Only went off when I turned the battery switch off when I got off of the water.
Same thing happened one day when I washed the boat, never could turn it off with the panel button, had to cut all power at the battery switch.
Went out fishing this morning, bright beautiful day but my interior lights were on. Boat hasnt been out of the garage in 4 weeks so the panel shouldn’t be wet but the lights would not turn off with the panel button. Until today it has only happened when there was water applied by rain or while washing the boat, but for today I dont understand whats causing it.
Anyone else have issues with the panel buttons not working or not turning things off? I have only had this issue with the interior lights. Knock on wood.

Have you tried turning them off (or on too) with the remote? See if the issue is isolated to the panel, or beyond that.

If you are referring to the fob as a remote then yes, it only starts/stops the engine and tilts it up/down. The button for interior lights on the panel has a red light that stays illuminated when this happens and stays on no matter if the button is depressed or not.

So your fob won’t turn off/on the lights? Did it before? Mine does.

my interior lights did the same thing. They would not turn off at the switch. I had to turn off the master power to kill the lights. I called my dealer and they ordered a new push button switch. I never had it installed because the light switch started working correctly, and that was about a year ago. Not sure why it started working correctly... but it did.

My interior lights came on when i started my boat because i was using the FOB to start the engine, hitting the # 2 (factory code 1234) on the FOB turned on the lights, took me a while to figure it out.

Well, apparently I was wrong and learned something too. Went out and checked the fob this evening, I was really sure that it would not turn the lights on, but I was wrong. So hopefully, now that I know it will control the interior lights, nothing is wrong with the panel button. Thanks for the help!
