    Night fishing

Show me what you’re running for lights on boat. Want to do more night fishing but need the light. What setup are you running?

I don’t run any thing special. I keep my nav lights on. I wear a head lamp and only use it when needed. My compartments are lit if I need to grab a rod or tackle. keeping lighting to a minimum helps with night vision.

I night fish a LOT. I use a red headlamp for in the boat activities, which keeps the bugs at bay, while preserving night vision, and have a couple of cheap LED flashlights, for and aft, rigged to adjustable rod holders with zip ties, pointing at the bank. Been doing this for decades and works very well. Lower lumen lights with a zoom feature are my preferred.

I also have an extendable 6 foot anchor light that keeps the light well above eye level that I sometimes use, but with this, insects can be a annoyance.

For black lights I have 4 plugs installed. 2 on the front deck and 2 on the rear deck.

Not unless they have changed alot over the years. They look kinda like the ones Hoppy's used to make but not quite. Moonlight's are the best ones now in my opinion.

It’s a Hoppy’s blacklight. Moonlight black lights work well too.
