All I do is T-rig. I have 3 IMX Loomis 844c and one 843c. Have had them all for over 20 years and great rods.

What weights do you use for the 843 vs 844?

If you are using heavy weights then what you mentioned, maybe go to Helium heavy.

you talking open water or heavy cover or sparse? A MH 7-7'6 ft with a fast tip will do well. Your budget, type of cover, and length preference will help. Daiwa Elite or Shimano Curado, expride, poison etc are all great. under 200$ look at the daiwa elites (not AGS) guides and the curado.
