    Prop Baits

Hey Guys - Just got the Lucky Craft Kelly J Prop bait...

is there a way to keep the line from tangling with the front prop? Tempted to just take it off... any suggestions?

Yep. One of the best tips I've ever heard in 25+ years of bass fishing. Get a small, unscented white candle and rub it on the last 12" of line just before the prop. The wax keeps the last foot of line stiff, and it won't tangle in the prop.

    Good luck!

try heavier line, I like 20# test for props... cuts down on the tangles...
