    My 2002 520VX repower

I’ve loved my 2002 520VX ever since I bought it but even more now. My old 225 optimax gave out finally with 920 hours on it and I decided to repower. I was lucky enough to find a new 2023 250 pro VX four stroke and love this boat even more now.

I’ve always loved the Ranger Cup colors, and they go perfectly with that engine.

Dang! you put the 250 on it? I thought about it but didn't like going above the rating on that boat so stuck with a 225....

    hows it perform?

Only have 18 hours on it but with very little trim I’ve seen 72 at 6050 rpm. Great holeshot as well. Running a tempest plus 23

Really nice, I had a 2000 520 years back and had to repower at around 800hrs, I put on a 250 Optimax and it served me well before selling during Covid.

Also thought about putting a 250 4s, but all the dealerships said that they could not do it. Boat capacity tag says it’s only rated for 225

I was wondering the same thing? Any drawback from going over the rating?
