Ultrex US2

Anybody took the three bolts loose on the US2 transducer in the head of the trolling motor? Was curious if it’s sealed separate from the motor itself. When I had my Fortrex, my US2 angle was perfect right below the front of the boat, but since going to the Ultrex to use the US2 I’ve always had to stand way back and essentially have the bait almost behind the motor for my bait to show up on the graph. I thought about possibly spacing the backside of the US2 to make it angle more forward but didn’t know what all I’d be getting into. If it’s completely sealed where it’s at I probably won’t mess with it but if the nose it’s mounted into is sealed separate from the motor it may be worth trying. Anybody had one off or apart at the front end where the US2 is?

Use spacing for the the electric motor itself. Raise the front of the base.

Best I recall there are 3 screws that hold it in place with a rubber gasket. It does open into the motor housing.
As already stated, shim the TM bracket.

The shaft of the Ultrex is at a negative angle due to them using the fortrex mount for that motor

If you angle the xdcr to shoot straight down when facing forward it will be at an odd angle when the motor is turned 90 degrees to left or right and twice the negative angle when pointed backwards

Your best bet is to get the wedge so the shaft is straight up and down

It’s actually a durable plastic but yea that’s a lot for plastic

That company has a lot of plastic for insane prices

But unless you plan to make one yourself there isn’t any other options

And it is the one true fix for that issue

Yeah, that's an option, but not really a good one for me and my setup unless I raise the whole thing and raise the front more than the back. The way my graph setup is I had to change where my cable lays and it's already almost getting crunched under the mount when stowed. If I raised just the front, I'd never be able to get the motor stowed because it would make it even tighter in the back.
