That is awesome We need more teams like that, and maybe part of a curriculum for these college young adults. They need to learn something helpful in college other than downing a ton of beer.

How about the guy that launches his boat after you were already on the water in within the first two minutes gets on his trolling motor and goes 100 feet past you and then pulls in in front of you like WTF? Then he looks at you and says, do you have a problem? I have no tolerance for any of that nonsense, and will explain to them what they did and typically I hear back - you don’t own the water go F yourself- it’s so sad how the lessons of basic bass fishing etiquette are not passed down to others:(

    People who litter suck.

People who teach their offspring to litter suck.

It's a generational thing here in the Delta.

Oh, and OP... I believe the bird you freed was an immature male red-winged blackbird.

My club holds a trash tournament every summer. We take the family and have a barbecue after. We give rods, reels and tackle to the kids that haul out the most trash bags full. Everyone has a good time and the kids learn that a little litter adds up to a lot of trash in no time.

Great idea whoever came up with that one.

If you tried to pick up all the trash around the OK lakes and streams you’d never fish. Biggest bunch of slobs that I’ve ever seen. On the other hand, let some papers blow off your table in Hawaii and you better be running for it. The locals will rip you a new a*****e if you let it go.

People just don't care! And other than cleaning up after them, confrontation just might get you killed! I had an issue with some duck hunters that took the duck I shot, when I just looked at them, I was looking down the barrel of three shotguns!! I left immediately. They had no idea what I was driving and they were just killing any duck they wanted. I knew which vehicle they were driving... it's a bad situation when you have four flat tires and the Federal Game Warden is on the way!! Cell phones were coming on the scene, and it proved to be very useful. Two old men and a young guy very seriously pointing their weapons at you and just staring! I didn't say anything, I just left.
Those three are still serving time some twenty odd years now. They were part of a massive poaching ring that the largest investigation that took four years and involved sixty two people from plain poachers to Political parties, even hunting guides
There was short movie about it and it involved guides allowing hunters to take Bald Eagles!!
It's not just recent events of littering, this has been going on for centuries. I lost permission to fish one the best local lakes due to dumping, refrigerator, stove, and over a ton of trash. It's beyond sad.

Just look at how a lot of people take care of their own homes and property. I am 61 and it has really declined in my life. Really sad. I remember a commercial when I was young that showed a Native American Indian looking at trash and a tear rolling down his face. Way worse now.

The folks that throw garbage all over parks and fishing spots would shoot you if your dog dropped a turd on their lawn. And yeah, he was an Italian playing a NA man but we got the point.

There is a lake in my town that has a nice lake. There is a park on a non-boating cove. I have on many occasions went out and done a police call. Last time I got half of a big garbage bag and a really nice crankbait. I also found an old pull tab from a can. I hadn't seen one of those since I was a kid. Too bad it broke when I picked it up. But it is a damn shame when there are garbage cans all over!

My daughter and I went fishing last year and when we got back to the secluded ramp I noticed a cast net on the ground. Trash can was a couple feet away. I saw something moving in it and it was a snake all tangled up. My daughter asked it we could save it. So for the next 30 min we snipped the black racer free. People just don't care anymore. We are living in a different country than when we were brought up.
