what is your favorite jerk bait

i never really had a good jerk bait most of mine were for crap but i don't want to spend for the big names like LC. i want to pick one up and start using it during the prespamn and long after.

As with any jerkbait, it can have as much or as little action as you like, but I just have more confidence in it.

Just spend the money on Pointers or Jackall Squirrels. If you are really a cheapa$$, then buy some of the el cheapo copies from Janns Netcraft. Only problem is I like to throw the DD models, and the copies only come in the shallow versions. The copies sometimes don't run true and don't quite have the same action as a LC, ..........but thet're like 3.50 apiece

I got a small collection of pointers... honestly, I catch just as many on a husky jerk... especially in ther cold water... in warmer water, I don't throw jerkbaits...
problem here in ny with the pointers, PIKE... one tap and your out 15.99...
FYI, if they schooling on shad or herring, go with the pointer...
If you buy a LC and use it and don't like it, you can get most of your money back on ebay... trust me...

The Bass pro xps work well, but I too recently made the switch to LC.......I catch pike on purpose with them for food when I'm not in a bass tourney. I've caught hundreds of em and haven't lost one. No leader either. Just gotta be on top of that hook set.

Rapala X-Rap 3" or 4" or the Bomber 3a or 4a will rip'em every time. And sometimes a Bandit 200 series fished like a jerk bait can be a secret weapon.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money and if you are throwing in relatively cold water you can't beat a suspending Rogue. For a few more bucks you an X-Rap is an awesome bait. I will tell you that a lot of winter/early spring tournaments are won on LC and Megabass. A $15 bait doesn't seem all that much when you're cashing a check.

here in the west coast i like thr 128 pointers.. i hear the vision 110 are good too but cant afford them. andsince lc work all the time for me why try to replace it..
