    Braid

Have a quick question on braid. Just started using it on my flippinstick this year and so far I like it. I have been fishing a reservoir quite a bit this summer trying to learn as much as I can about it for the state finals in Sept. Now the question.... I've had a problem lately breaking off 12lb. flourocarbon fishing a jig in some deep rocks. Thinking about switching to braid to keep my line from getting all jacked up. Does anyone think the braid will be to visible? The water has some color, but not muddy. Thanks for the help.

I have no better luck with braid in rocks, than fluorocarbon, I'd just try a heavier line or a little lighter jig.

Braid is great in wood and weeds, but not so much in rocks. Move up to 14 or 17lb fluoro and you'll be fine.

    Re: Braid (JTMEX)

when you spool up the fluoro, run out about 100' and give it a good stretch (some say fluoro has no stretch ) but it does. spray it kvd conditioner and it makes it much more manageable.
