Is this where we share secrets ?

I'm confused, is this the place where everyone tells other forum members their bassin secrets ?

If not, could you direct me to where I could catch up a little because I have forgotton a lot since I was an observer in the hungry fisherman circuit many years ago........man those guys knew some stuff !

Since I'm a new member, am I supposed to share mine ?

It's common courtesy for you to give us all of your secrets and the more experienced members will tell you if they've heard of it or not and how it worked for them. So let's hear em!

Yup, that's how it works. New guy empties his bucket of secrets on the floor and we all pick through it to see if it's worth talking about or if we can use any of it to our own benefit. Then, we figure out if we can do anything for him... Just kidding, yes this is a place to share ideas and new techniques. You can learn a lot from this web site as well as bassresource.com which really has a lot of fishing specific discussions regarding application, species, seasonal habits, etc. Good luck and don't forget to post something unique if you've got it.

OK, here is my first secret...........now don't laugh...........I'm not really a green horn.........I just took a twelve year break from fishing....but I'm back.

First tip, did you know you can catch a lot more fish on a Colorado blade SB, night or day if you cut the lead head off, exposing the wire hook connection....... and after removing the hook just add a Cordell 1/2 oz. rattlin spot.

The Cordell used to be called Bomber rattle Rs many years ago.

The only tuning needed it to make sure upper blade arm is a bit shorter and does not hit the rear end of the Cordell............he likes to stick his rear up a bit when slow rolling.
    '
Also, this setup makes an excellent helicopter bait.

Don't bend your wire too much when you open it up to remove factory hook or you might weaken it, just a simple spread of the wire using needle nose wide enough to insert the split ring and your good to go.

Tune it in a pool or clear water to make sure the blade does not hit the rear end of Spot.

A willow blade will not work, it's too long.

I hope this helps you as much as it has me for over 15 years........and get ready to get the rod knocked out of your hand.

These baits make twice the noise............and take my word for it, Cordell works better than any other bait because we tested many others in a pool 15 years ago for sound and rattle with least amount of pull.

Please let me know what you think........
