    Rage tail shad

Bought some Strike King Rage Tail Shad......not really sure how to rig it.
I tried it flat...like a frog bait, with the tail up...but it spins and tangles like crazy.
The tail is attached to the body on the package...and i cut that away.
I was under the impression that these things float.......but mine dont when rigged weightless with a 4/0 WG.
    Aynone used these????
    Any help appreciated.

Re: Rage tail shad (big o)

I bought some rigged one up took it to the water hole behind the house. Mine ran just like it did on TV never twisted, rolled and ran true, they do not float but they kind of swim under water. I am very impressed with the lure makes lots of noise and splashes well. I can't wait to try mine on the lake with the post spawn coming up I am excited.

I wonder how durable these things are? At $1 per bait, it could get pretty expensive if these things rip apart after a single fish.

They are not durable at all. I've had tons of blow ups with very few hookups. Still experimenting with hooking but the tails tear up very quickly.

...they do tear up, especially worked through the reeds....I save the tore up ones and fix the tails with a soldering iron

After the hit, Let them take it then slam'em. These baits are small and soft so the fish mouth'em and hold them good after the hit unlike a buzzbait. Other videos on Rage Tail hook up and action at http://www.ragetail.com
