New owner of a 98 triton TR18 with a 2014 Pro XS 150, 2B113749. I replaced the spark plugs and noticed all 6 I removed were not gapped correctly. They were all set .030-.032”, was that the original specifications? What I read here was .042-.044”.

Most likely the previous owner or a marine engine shop used the non-ProXS plug gap. From the FAQ topic - Oil, Battery, Spark Plugs, Fuel and Fuel Additive Recommendations

-QL77CC (Champion) for 3 Liter EFI's (XB models or 2001 and EARLIER: .035" / All 2002-> Down-draft intake models: .040")
-IZFR5G (NGK)@ .032-.033" for Standard Opti's 135-225HP, 2001 200XS, and 200 ProXS PRIOR TO Serial Number#1B912786***
-IZFR5J (NGK) @.032-.033 for 75-115 Opti's

any black paint on those , likely were original , many shops dont have a clue about what to gap a plug at or how to do it theses days
