    #7 shallow shad raps

who throws them? they are the only cranks i have without split rings, im thinking of adding some ovals. any thoughts? they dont get very deep but they cast waaay better than regular shad raps.. how about adding weight without affecting action....id love to add weight to a #5 if possible

Re: #7 shallow shad raps (walligator)

If you were to add enough weight to make a #5 cast like a #7, I think it would affect the action. It's best to just get a ML action spinning rod or a L casting rod and 8lb line to throw it on. I think the light line really makes a difference.

I will say that if you put bigger hooks on a #5 it will make it suspend and it doesn't noticibly affect the action
