Here as well. Days with little to no cloud cover and it looks like twilight all day long.

Drove up to the cabin today. Haze in the air from home to Buffalo. But, the haze and smell was worse once we crossed the border at Fort Erie. Toronto was really hazy but it got better around Barrie. Once we hit the north shore of Georgian Bay, the air was ok…until the wind shifts in a few days.

Same experience here in metro Detroit. It has gotten notably worse today with the strong north winds.

Actually both I think. We're getting the Ontario smoke and the smoke from Quebec fires. (Which you can see in the top center of the .gif)

Took this tonight. It was not overcast but entirely from the smoke. It looked like orange dusk all day. IMG_2135.JPG

So that's why it's so hazy here.

All I can say is you Americans are sure a bunch of whiners.
You complain in the winter because you get some of our cold and snow.
Now you get a little bit of smoke from our BBQ's, just doing up a few Deer and Moose, a little beaver, groundhog and squirrel.
Have to get things ready for July 1 and then July 4.

    .
Have to admit, although it smells like a stale campfire this morning, yesterday did have a strong hint of bacon in the air. No joke, it was the common comment around town. This great shot someone got here locally. IMG_2136.JPG

There's millions of us on both sides of the border being affected by this smoke but it's pretty insignificant when you consider all the many 100's of families who have lost absolutely everything they own to the flames.

I saw a video of one home owner back in the bush on Centennial Lake up Calabogie area. It looked to be a pretty significant building, looked like he had 3 big sprinklers off of an Irrigation system spraying water all around his fancy home back in the bush. Last I saw the home was unscathed in the fire. Figured he had it pumping right from the lake all around his property.

No real problem with the BBQ smoke... The problem is you forgot to send the Beer with it!
