Red fishing line and red hooks

Remember to use red fishing line as it's all but invisible to the fish as it sinks but keep your red hooks because the fish see them so well and it creates a feeding frenzy....

Why does Megabass have so many colors if it doesn't matter?

Its honestly the ONE thing that irks me about the new launch frogs. I realize you can barely see the hook anyways but why they went with a red hook is baffling

To give customers choices. Forage differs in all parts of the world so a wide array of colors helps a customer find a color that reflects what forage they have locally or colors that help instill confidence for a customer.

that's why I buy the trophy series with the owner hooks. excellent frogs and don't have to pay extra for that b.s. tungsten weight.

Makes it easier for us old fisher types to see the hooks so we don't get poked as much.

I'm referring more to how in one case red is said to be seen easier when in another case red is invisible......

There is a lot of information concerning red line and hooks but you have to Google it.

It is thought that red is invisible in water over 15ft and black in shallow water but it's easier to see above water than some lines.

Red hooks are thought to be invisible as well. Some choose red hooks to make their lures seem to have a more natural look.

I'm convinced most color schemes in bass fishing are for extracting money from wallets!

Bit of an stretch there isn’t it? There are theories out there saying red shows up on shallows but disappear in deep. I have had pretty good success with a red hook in front but no feeding frenzy

I think some of yall are taking this a bit too seriously. No one suggested not using either one if it's what you want to use. No one said color didn't matter either......

I tried the red hooks years ago for worm and lizard use. I didn't notice much of a difference in catching fish from typical colored hooks.

Red does disappear in deeper water. However I’m convinced a red hook up front works on to water and shallow stuff etc. Red lights have been used for years in airplane cabins and what not because it’s easy on the eyes when the rooms are dark or deep in the fishing world.

Ever noticed how some first responders vehicles and high viz color has went to chartreuse???? That is the color that is best visible in low light conditions.

I heard they don’t make fluoro in red because it is so invisible, it’s hard to even tie a knot.
