I've installed it. It didn't break anything that I can tell. One of the improvements is that you'll supposedly be able to update over the NMEA network which I'm looking forward to since my VVL box is buried under the helm.

My VVL box is inside my console too and my console is not open in the bottom. ABQGeo, do you have a link to a page that describes what the update does if more than updating over NMEA? I looked on the Merc site and saw nothing but may be missing the details.

Hmmmm. Don't remember where I read about the updating over NMEA. Somewhere on the internet so it must be true, right?

Call me the buzz kill, but no way in hell am I doing the update. I recently did the last update and it killed my VVL. No saving it, DEAD! Mercury even wanted it back to find out what happened with the update. Unless it no longer functions as designed, no way am I doing an unneeded update.

Your post on this is what prompted my question. I am reluctant to update.

I am not sure what happened to Jerzia but I didnt have any issues with mine.
I also see no difference from the previous version.

Mercury told the dealer that they have had a few issues with that happening. He said that probably meant that there were way more than they were letting on about. Maybe a big coincidence, but since it was a few weeks ago, maybe they found a fix for the bug, and that was what the update was for?????

There has been a modification to the update. It is no longer 64.3.126, but 64.3.127.
