This may have been covered somewhere as I probably missed it. Does anybody have any good ideas on how to get rust spots off of some baits?

If they're chromed baits or the blades of spinnerbaits/buzzbaits, use toothpaste to polish them up.
They are all stickbaits. I neglected them and just put them away at the end of the season last year not knowing that my stckbait box had water in it.
magic eraser? maybe with CLR? not sure what it would do to the finish.
Got some stuff in the kitchen called Whink- it removes rust stains fast. Just make sure you rinse the bait off after you use it or it will eat the finish off.
"Zud" kitchen cleanser (available in grocery stores near the Comet) will clean you rusty baits for you. No need to scrub the bait, just put some on a wet sponge or cloth and dab the bait with and then rinse well.
It also works well for cleaning things around the kitchen, but I wouldn't know about that.....
