    Question Solix question

I have a Solix 12 at the console and I just ordered a new Solix 12 with a MEGA 360 for up front. My question is can I network these together and if so, how? Do I simply get an Ethernet cable and connect between the two units or is there more to it than that?

I also have the built in transducer in the Ultrex TM. I ordered a Y cable to connect that transducer to the Solix 12. Will that work so I can switch between the 360 and the transducer? This is the cable I ordered: Humminbird 720108-1 14 M360 2DDI Y MEGA 360 & 2D/MDI Y Cable

    Thanks!

Just need an Ethernet cable long enough to connect the two.

With the Y cable there is no switching between the M360 and other transducer, both are physically connected to the transducer port.
You just choose the views you want.
360 and SI comes from the MEGA 360, Temp/2D/DI comes from the other transducer.

Be aware that, if you add a 3rd unit or another networking device, like the Mega Live, you will need to add a separate Humminbird 5 Port Hub and then connect everything into it.

    Thanks for the info.

One of my Solix units is a Gen 2 and the other is a Gen 3. Will they network together and share information? They are both solix 12 units.

If they both have the same software level they will network.
