Who wants to sell me a good condition center seat? Or are they all squashed like mine?
I doubt I will ever reinstall mine....shoot me a PM.![]()
Here is what my boys and I came up with when we took out our middle seat. I wish I could have found carpet to match a little closer to what the boat has but oh well. That center seat took a beating and is falling apart at the seams.

I mounted my new console from bassboatseats.com last week.
Not sure if anyones done this before on this thread but I carpeted a square piece of marine plywood and attached it to the existing hinge. Then picked up a large fire/water safe from harbor freight. Attached it to the plywood and carpeted the bottom of the safe. Makes a great coinbox/step and it locks. Cost about $50 if you have plywood lying around. Will try to attach pics

I'm gonna make one tomorrow, I think I have some extra wood and carpet laying around.

I'm looking to do the same thing. Do you have any measurements?
My center seat on my RT178 sits at such an angle that it is dangerous for someone coming off the back deck. I've had two people fall coming down and just a pretty awkward transition. A center step box/ storage is definitely on my project list..
I made this one using cutting board material for the box and HPDE board for the lid (stronger). I have a parts list and build document I can send by email, PM me if interested.

I covered a 16" x 17" piece of thick ass plywood with some seadek and used the existing hinge. Turned out pretty good.

I used the middle console mentioned earlier in this thread on my 09 Tracker PT 170. Very happy with it.
