    1st Timer here

    Howdy folks,

First time boat (kinda) owner here. Definitely first time in a Ranger.

Years ago, I had a Carolina Skiff J16 for about 6-8 months. Due to life, it was sold and I was back to my ol faithful Hobie PA14. Recently, I picked up an 05 185VS and I LOVE IT!

Since I've owned it in January, I've replaced the charger, bilge, and bunk brackets for the trailer. The two big projects that have been looming since I bought the boat are a good wet sand and polish, and the issue I bring forward now... seats...

I've checked with Ranger, its $720.00 for the OEM Skins plus the costs of a local upholstery shop. I've checked bassboatseats.com and see they have some that interest me, but I'm not sure if these (https://www.bassboatseats.com/collec...torage-console) would fit. I'd like to keep the boat looking as factory as possible just out of personal preference but within reason of course, and while I've seen other folks on here build the 1/2" platform and mount 2 buckets, I'd much like to got his route.... Does anyone know if these would fit, or how I need to go about checking measurements? Kayak/skiff guy new to the glitter rocket world!

I cannot help you in the least bit on the seats. But congrats on the boat, welcome to the forum and here is a bump for you.

You might check local auto upholstry shops. We have an excellent specialty shop, recovered my 06 Ranger seats. They look like new, just a little over $600.
    Congrats on joining Ranger nation.

Welcome to the forum, and call or email BassBoatSeat they should be able to answer your questions. They have a nice seat and a few on here have used them, use the search forum and see what comes up . I have them in my older Ranger and love them .Looking at getting them recoverd maybe depending on price or new ones as I have a few slits in the vinyl and just like my stuff to look good .
