Anyone use this? How do you like it? What don't you like about it? The reviews on BPS website looked pretty good. It is mono.

I use it some. Has some stretch but its good cheap line IMO.
the fish i catch won't stretch it!!!![]()
if you are searching for good inexpensive line it is hard to beat Trilene Big Game IMO
problem is i need fluorescent for the black lights.
in that case...I have used excel, when I used to order it when I worked at a boat store it would sometimes come in w/ a stren label on it! this happened more than once so it made me think it was made forr them by stren
weird part about the boxes i got was that one box had an American Flag on it that said made in the USA spooled and packaged in China, the other one just said made in China. I use stren, but i figured I would try it. Debated on getting p-line but this was cheaper than both.
the only problems I ever heard were in the 6-8# tests...
the box of 8 lb i got was the one that said made in China. the other had made in the usa on it, 12 lb.
i personally love this stuff, never had any problems. the price is excellent. if you can go to their spring classic they mark this stuff way down.
I have used it for years and like it from 4 to 17# no problems. I was told it was made by stren, no difference, this was a guy working at BPS so who knows.
I think it is some of the best mono you can buy. I bet it is basically all the same stuff. I have fished with it for 15+ years and can't say a negative thing about it. It might have some stretch to it, but it does not break. You don't want to get hung up with it because it is a chore to break it off.
P-line has its uses, but seems to have too much memory. That excel stays soft pretty good.
Just give it a try, you won't go wrong. 12lb-25lb. Use the green....
Excel mono is good stuff, stock up if you find it on sale.![]()
Has anyone tried the Excel braid?
