The body length of the 5 is 2" while the 7 is 2 3/4". The largest size (9) dives to 15 ft. The 5 dives about 4 ft. So, the 7 should be about 6-8 ft approx.

the orignal balsa ones ( not plastic suspending) are some of the best tight wobble cranks around IMHO... I usually use the 7 and depending on line size runs between 6-8 ft. It floats pretty fast so it is good for hitting a stump or tree, and if you stop it, it will float right off most times... I like the shad color in most water conditions and the firetiger has put a few in the boat for me on murky days. No rattle, but I think that helps it too in a lot of situations. The 5 is smaller and probably gets 5-6 feet. Main gripe on these baits is they definitely aren't as easy to cast as a Bomber or Bandit...they are pretty light and kinda hard to throw in the wind because they will sail on you, but they DEFINITELY catch fish!

You should not use them....they are pure junk. Send all of them to me and I'll dispose of them properly

LOL, seriously, they are sort of a "standard" for cold water crankbaiting, best I can tell. but, they also work year-around. Tons and tons of people use them and speak highly of them.

The box gives specs on the outside of it. The 7 says its 5/16oz but I dont believe it for one second. I can throw a deep baby N that's 1/4oz much easier than a shadrap. Silver and shad pattern for me

As for the size, try the 7, if they dont like that, throw the 5. Use 8# or less. 7 can be thrown on a baitcaster, but the 5 is best thrown on a spinning outfit. If there's wind, stick to the spinning outfit.
